Sunny April Sunday

We made sure to enjoy the beautiful weather today and FINALLY got out Jaycoby's tee ball set he'd gotten for Christmas. He's been begging us to let him play with it, but we've kept it up in the closet and told him that he had to wait until the weather got nicer. Part of that was because it really was too cold to be playing tee ball outside and I wouldn't allow it in the house. The other part was trying to ration out some of his Christmas/birthday gifts, since all of those celebrations are so close together for him. Anyways, he was so excited to get to play baseball. And he did pretty good for a first time baller. His preference is hitting and throwing left handed, so I am coaching him accordingly. By the end of our "session" he was hitting my pitches that I was throwing to him. I was pretty impressed.

Here is the video of his first couple attempts with the tee:

We were outside for quite a while, when Jaycoby shouted "I'm hungry!". We were enjoying the weather so much, we hadn't kept track of what time it was. At that time, we happened to have Bailey out in the front yard. Jaycoby was safely hiding in the back of Mike's pickup and staying as FAR away from Bailey as possible. So Mike told him that he had to kiss Bailey in order to get dinner (aren't we mean parents?). It worked! Jaycoby wasn't afraid at all. Little turkey! I think he was afraid that Bailey was going to get his baseball and bat, because he made sure to hide the ball in his shirt and was shouting at Bailey to stay away. Anyway, we got a cute video out of it.

At the end, you can hear him start to panic as he realized his mouth was covered with slobber. He says "Get me a 'blow nose' (kleenex)".
