It started last Friday....I was changing Ella's diaper around 10 a.m. and she started to fuss. Then she started to cry. I thought it was weird and decided that maybe I should give her some Tylenol, in case her moler was bothering her, but I got distracted and forgot. Yup, it was one of those "mother of the year" moments. Awesome.
We went to Grammie's house for the afternoon. Just as it was nearing her nap time, we noticed that she seemed a little warm. I gave her some Tylenol and put her down for nap. When she woke up, she had a temp of 102.9, but seemed happier. We decided to risk it and take her up to Portland anyways.
After we dropped off Jaycoby, we headed to Mary & Jeff's house for dinner. We warned them that she wasn't feeling too great, but we weren't expecting her to get sick at the dinner table. She gagged on some of her dinner and then we got to see the rest of it all over again. Gross! Zach fled from the room because, naturally, he has an aversion to vomit. Can't say I blame the guy. Mary helped me get everything cleaned up, we visited a few minutes longer while Ella tried her hardest to be happy, but then we had to go so she could rest. She fell asleep in the car around 9 p.m. and slept the next morning until 9:30 a.m. Whoa!
We spent Saturday at the house and took it easy. She was feverish all day, but didn't show any more flu-like sypmtoms. Then when I went to her crib on Sunday morning we discovered she had thrown up in the night. Poor, sweet girl had to take two baths to get the smell off of her and had another easy day at home. She took two naps- 10:30-11:45 and 1:45-5:45.
