On our way to Colorado, we made a stop at Yellowstone National Park. We didn't have a lot of time to spend there, but we were fortunate enough to have our own personal tour guide. My Uncle John works at the park from May through October every year and knows all of the hot spots. We spent a few hours driving around with him to all of the "must see" places. He even gave Jaycoby a "Junior Ranger" hat that he wore the rest of the day (all of the pictures that he doesn't have a hat on were taken before we met up with Uncle John). Jaycoby even took a nap in the hat.
Even though we had less than a day at the park, we really enjoyed our time there. We got to see the original hotel that was built, where President Roosevelt once stayed, Old Faithful (or as Jaycoby refers to as "that geyser"), Yellowstone Lake, a mama bear with her two cubs and lots of bison. Lots and lots of bison. The landscape was beautiful at Yellowstone. We would have loved to have spent more time there, done some hiking of the trails, and more sightseeing, but we had to get back on the road.
