35 weeks & largely pregnant

Mike took this pic with his phone when Dr. West stepped out of the room. It's not super clear, but we wanted to be sure we got a pic in case they didn't print it out for us. She was sleeping during the ultrasound. You can see her top lip really well. It looks like the pouty face Mike makes. He was really excited to see that ;-)

We had our third, and final, ultrasound at the doctor's office this morning. Everything looks excellent!
1. We were reassured that we are definitely having a little GIRL (and were shown the lady parts to prove it). Phew! Mike and I agreed that it would've been much harder to handle having to change the nursery & clothes we've bought than to accept that we were having a son. Can you imagine? I know it happens, but I was really hoping that wouldn't be the case with this pregnancy. It looked pretty legit to us. Here's hoping!
2. Ella's position is perfect. Her head is down and she is facing my left side. I have been feeling a ton of movement on the upper-right side of my belly. I thought this was her feet, but apparently it's her bottom. Mike said "Ohhh, so she's been 'booty bumping' you". Lol. She has not dropped yet, but that is totally normal position for 35 weeks.
3. Her estimated weight is 5.14 lbs., so she is right on track. He said that should put her around 7 1/2 lbs. at delivery. Jaycoby was 5.5 lbs. at my final ultrasound and ended up being 7 lbs. 2 oz. at a 38 week delivery. It will be interesting to see how accurate his estimate is.
4. We found out more information about the tubal ligation. Apparently, the information I was given at my last appointment wasn't completely accurate. I was hoping to have it done during my stay at the hospital, but we found out today that it is only based on the amount of staff available the day I arrive for delivery (due to c-sections, anesthesiologists available, etc.). With the insurance that we are both currently covered by, it would be really nice if I could have this taken care of while I was at the hospital. I'm glad we now know that this might not be possible, but would appreciate your prayers for the whole process. If it has to be taken care of later on, that is fine with us, but it would be nice to get it all taken care of in one trip. Then I won't have two recovery times (and Mike won't have to worry about any procedures either).

Latest pregnancy symptoms....
~I am not sleeping well (which is to be expected at this point in my pregnancy). This little girl is extremely active throughout the night and I can feel each and every wiggle. I'm looking forward to the long nights ahead :-)
~Trips to the restroom are much more frequent, of course.
~I have been getting horrible cramps in my feet and calf muscles. I woke up two nights ago with a calf cramp and my leg is still sore today. Hey, I'm not complaining. It feels like I got a good workout....on one of my legs anyways.
~I am feeling a lot of the changes associated with my body getting ready for delivery (nerve pain, ligament stretching, etc.). Most are not-so-pleasant, but the aches and pains don't last too long.
~My muscle tear has good and bad days. I guess I've just gotten used to the constant burn. It's definitely worse when Little Girl is moving around, but it has become much more tolerable with my Mini Cradle.
~"You're out. You're hungry. You're doin' fourthmeal."- Taco Bell. That slogan suits me well right now. I am hungry for dinner at 4 p.m. and I am ready for my "fourthmeal" around 9 p.m. Too bad I ate so much during my second trimester, when I really didn't need to be. That was a good 5-10 lbs. I didn't need to gain. Lol. Now my body is craving the extra calories, so I have to feed it :-).

We are really in the home stretch now and can't wait to meet our little girl. It's crazy to think she will be here so soon. It's exciting and overwhelming all at the same time, but we are SO looking forward to it!
