Mother's Day Flower

This story has two parts.
Part 1: Tuesday evening, Mike asked Jaycoby what he was going to get Mommy for Mother's Day. His response was "a flower.....a RED one". Mike pressed further, seeing if any chocolates would be in my future. Jaycoby said that chocolates were a possibility, but that there was no chance of me getting a card :).
Part 2: Wednesday we went to Salem's Farmer's Market (in the rain) for our playgroup activity. My friend, Julie, had to get some flowers for teacher appreciation week, so we made a stop at the "tulip tent". Riley purchased three tulips for his teachers and Jaycoby looked at him and said "Riley, you forgot about me". He must've thought Riley had gotten only enough for the rest of us in the group. So Jaycoby proceeded to walk up to the woman who was running the tent and asked for a flower. It was one of those Mommy moments that was 1) just so cute! It's always interesting to see how people will respond to your child in a situation like this and 2) embarassing because your child is asking for something that isn't theirs to have. We didn't expect the woman to even respond (she didn't speak very good English), but she went over to her bucket, pulled out a "special flower" (one that had already opened and that she couldn't sell) and handed it to Jaycoby. He grabbed the flower, ran over to me and shouted "Happy Mother's Day!".
Here is my RED flower. So perfect- and from the most perfect little boy!
